Welcome to YANA Network

You Are Not Alone

WHAT IS YANA NETWORK?

We are a support network for spoonies (people who experience pain and fatigue because of an illness, injury, or disability). When you join, you get access to monthly support groups on zoom, and a private community of others who understand how hard this journey is.

MEET OUR FOUNDER

Hi, I'm Emily! I became a spoonie in 2018 when I was in a car accident and sustained a brain injury. My entire life changed in the blink of an eye. I was in crippling pain and had no idea how to cope. I felt like a stranger in my own mind and body.

The last few years have been a roller coaster of emotions, but I can honestly look back and see how much I have grown as a person through this challenging experience.

I created YANA Network to support people who are struggling with their health. YANA stands for "You Are Not Alone." I hope that this community helps you realize how resilient you truly are.

WHAT ARE PEOPLE SAYING?

I have learned that sometimes when everything we valued, from career, to abilities, to social life and health, falls apart, we are better able to see opportunities and possibilities that previously may not have been considered. A huge takeaway is learning that I am stronger than I knew and I am capable of ongoing change/healing. I am not done. I am learning SO much from you, Emily. (DEBBIE)

Thank you so much to everyone on the zoom call today and of course Emily. I’m so happy I attended. I feel less alone in my disability and inspired to make a few changes. Amazing what just talking and listening to like-minded people can do. Been alone in this since 2017 and just from this short zoom I feel empowered to make some changes.(RHYLIE)

Participating in Resilience Reset opened my eyes to possibilities and truly gave me tools to help me navigate symptom flares. I learned practical tips to manage my pain and stay positive about my disability and goal of recovery. The clear descriptions and teaching helped me understand why the healing progress is so slow. Emily helped me gain new knowledge, that I could re-watch as many times as I needed, along with action steps to facilitate application. Thanks to Resilience Reset I am learning to advocate for myself and I have more hope and direction to carry me forward on my healing journey. Thank you! (MARION)

I always struggled with asking for help. I can already see my mindset changing from what it was before. This course has opened my eyes, mind, and heart much more! It may sound silly but, I feel like I’ve been in a chrysalis and this course is making a lot of changes to get me to emerge as a butterfly. (MARISOL)
